You will provide will provide a broad range of logistical support duties necessary to support acquisition personnel and other U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) staff; this may include services required to assist personnel in providing pre-award and post-award activities, which may involve researching, analyzing, and reviewing applicable regulations, departmental policies, and creating simple procurement instruments (e.g., modifications, orders, etc.), and all contract closeout activities.
More About the Role:
Provide support and assistance to Senior Contract Specialists in essentially all areas of the Federal Acquisition Regulation;
Provide support in technical writing, acquisition planning and strategy, and market research;
Ensure compliance with program and administrative regulations;
Prepare simplified purchase orders and modifications;
Log and track contract proposals, requests for modifications, and reports; and
Assist with functions supporting the procurement business process.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree, with a concentration in business, or 24 semester hours in business related coursework, from an accredited college or university;
One (1) to three (3) years of relevant business or procurement experience (one year of the required professional experience may be substituted by 12 or more semester hours or FAC-C level I or DAWIA I in contracting certification);
Attention to detail and thorough documentation skills;
Knowledge of federal procurement regulations and policies;
Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Software;
Excellent writing skills and can communicate effectively both orally and in writing; and
Ability to quickly grasp procurement terms, methodologies, and processes, prepare contract files and associated electronic documentation.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Provide advice and assistance to program offices, vendors, grantees, or other constituent individuals or organizations.
Shall have excellent writing skills and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; and
Must work independently on moderately complex tasks.
