What You’ll Get to Do:
As a CACI-WGI (The Wexford Group International) Judicial Security Advisor, you will train, advise, and assist Afghan Ministry of Interior (MOI) Judicial Security Teams to provide security for Afghan trials and appellate judges, prosecutors and their families. Personal Security Detachment (PSD) training (to include motorcade operations-foot formations-strong side/weak side drops-advances and emergency evacuation drills), prisoner handling and courtroom security are just a few of the areas you will be expected to train your Afghan Counterparts. Some training will take place on the NATO base on the Hamid Karzai International Airport (HKIA). Training in areas such as Emergency Medical Training (EMT) and vehicle searches for the Anti-Corruption Judicial Center (ACJC) Security personnel will be extremely important. You will assist in escorting 10-15 ACJC employees who have been biometrically cleared, onto the HKIA base for this training. Some training, such as with the PSD, can be conducted at the nearby ACJC.
More About the Role:
Your Subject Matter Expertise will enhance the security and safety of the process of law in Afghanistan. You will prepare periodic reports on threats to judicial security. You will liaise with US and international law enforcement personnel to coordinate judicial security efforts, including meetings at embassies with foreign donors, to explain what is needed to improve the security at the Anti-Corruption Judicial Center (AJCJ). As the Subject Matter Expert, these donors will rely heavily on your recommendations on security issues relating to the ACJC. You will routinely analyze threats as they are presented into the Court. Threats may be directed at the facility or toward individuals and may occur frequently. You will provide training, advice, and assistance to meet these specific threats.
