Job Description

The CDM Program is managed within the DHS National Protection and Programs Directorate, (NPPD)/Office of Cybersecurity and Communications (CS&C)/Network Security Deployment (NSD) Division, responsible for enhancing the security, resilience, and reliability of the Nation’s cyber and communications infrastructure. The DHS CDM Program mission is to safeguard and secure cyberspace in an environment where the threat of cyber-attack is continuously growing and evolving. The CDM Program defends the United States (U.S.) Federal Information Technology (IT) networks from cybersecurity threats by providing continuous monitoring sensors (tools), diagnosis, mitigation tools, and associated services to strengthen the security posture of Government networks.

What You’ll Get to Do:

Are you a talented and motivated Portal and SharePoint Developer? Are you interested in supporting mission critical work that spans across multiple customers under the Department of Homeland Security?  Are you excited by a role where you will  research, design, develop, update, and maintain our Service360º Portal, which will be the primary information management system supporting the CDM DEFEND A Program?  The information libraries and workflows in the Service360º are a key component in our support to DHS.

More About the Role:

The Portal and SharePoint Developer is the technical resource for the enterprise portal supporting the CDM DEFEND A Program. This person is the key stakeholder interpreting requirements and making recommendations regarding system design, solutions, and procedures via various sources such as CACI business analysts.  Our Portal and SharePoint Developer designs and creates baseline portal modules as well as recommendations for portal/system improvements. This position works closely with CACI business analysts, designers, subject matter experts, team leads, and our DHS customer to understand functional requirements and make recommendations regarding system design, solutions, and procedures.  The Developer creates cost estimates for software projects or enhancements. He or she conducts impact analysis for portal/software changes and produces detailed specifications and writes software code. The Developer works with other CACI SharePoint experts to create solutions or implement specific capabilities.  The Developer also conducts unit tests and documents findings to support formal testing in controlled environment before code is promoted to production. He or she adheres to program configuration change control standards and provides input into training manuals for users. The Developer understands the structure and functionality of the COTS applications (e.g. SharePoint, Access, SQL) and extends applications by using proper application tools. He or she must maintain knowledge of features and technical changes to underlying applications supporting the Service360º Portal .

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Microsoft SharePoint 2016
  • Microsoft SharePoint Designer 2013
  • Microsoft Office 365
  •  Experience working with SharePoint and portal development, preferably in a government contracting environment
  • Ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD)

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Relevant DHS or .Gov Cyber Security focused experience
  • Typically has a University Degree (BS) and 5 years of related work experience.
