CACI is looking for an experienced Database Administrator to work in our Charleston, SC office. This role requires problem solving and communications skills in addition to extensive experience with DBA functions.
MIDSES is a program to deliver new capability to analyze combined Department of Defense (DoD) and Veterans Affairs (VA) health-care data. The program addresses problems of inefficient, piecemeal approaches to sharing and analyzing data. MIDSES deploys and evaluates solutions for governance, data integration, data security, analysis, and supercomputing to provide a solid foundation for integrated clinical and business intelligence platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responding to and resolving database access and performance issues as needed
Consuming data from various external sources via ETL tools/processes
Validating data ingestion results
Providing support expertise on all database design and development projects
Handling the setup and configuration of database servers
Develop long-term strategic goals for database storage in conjunction with data owners
5+ years of experience as Database Administrator in MS SQL Server
Experience with MS SQL Server 2012
2+ years of experience working with various ETL tools
Professional experience migrating from SQL Server 2005 or 2008 to SQL Server 2012
Experience with MS SQL Server Indexing, Views, Triggers, and Stored Procedures
Experience supporting and managing databases running in public cloud environments (AWS)
Data warehouse design, development and integration
Requires a Secret security clearance.
BS degree in Engineering and five to seven years experience.
Experience with database development across multiple systems & applications
Experience with health care specific data models
Experience supporting Government customers and applications
Experience with Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) a plus
