Job Description

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • In support of the US Navy’s NAVSEA Headquarters Human Resources Office in Washington DC, the Human Resources Training Specialist will deliver HR related training
  • Based on customer requirements using a variety of techniques including face-to-face online, synchronous, asynchronous, and self-paced instruction
  • Training may also include employing blended learning techniques to include a combination of eLearning tools, lectures, classroom discussions, team exercises, readings, case studies, role plays and demonstrations of required skills through work-related tasks

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience in HR and training
  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
  • Training Instruction/Facilitation
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills
  • Document and maintain assigned projects, course materials, and job aids
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong customer service and attention to detail

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Master’s Degree in Training, Instructional Design or HR
  • Instructional System Design experience
  • Research existing course content and propose new or updated course materials, which apply best practices and principles of adult learning
  • Experience working on customer site
  • Government HR preferred 
  • Knowledge of Navy organizations, structure, and culture
  • Working knowledge of DOD structure
  • PHR or SPHR
