What You’ll Get to Do:

As an Senior Infrastructure Engineer at CACI you’ll provide hardware maintenance and subject matter expertise to support the sustainment, configuration, and troubleshooting of the system. You’ll perform hardware and software setup and tuning activities, data backups, troubleshoot server problems, and maintain a high availability system for our customer in Fort Sam Houston, TX.  

More About the Role:

  • Act as the onsite DevOps team lead responsible for coordinating maintenance and troubleshooting activities across the enterprise, task delegation, status reporting, and hands on system configuration, sustainment, and upgrade.
  • Must have experience supporting an SAP instance operating in a Windows environment.
  • Must have training/experience with migrating an SAP instance from ERP X.X to SAP HANA.
  • Must have experience/training migrating an SAP instance from on premise hosting to an Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment.
  • Provide server administration, backup/restore, and recovery services. 
  • Provide Windows/ Linux support to include installation and configuration management services, file system management, memory management, tape management, printer management, and system security services.
  • Ensure production systems maintain a very high availability.
  • Perform root cause analysis on any unscheduled downtime.
  • 24x7 technical support for optimum server performance and system recovery in compliance with Army Regulations.
  • Maintain the centralized/ virtualized hardware, networks, operating systems, Oracle databases, and the SAP in Data Processing software landscape, and as needed, update the associated technical and security documentation.
  • Provide technical support and planning of hardware, networks, operating systems, databases, and communications solutions.
  • Install, upgrade, document, and maintain new versions of server software, to include but not limited to Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) and patches.
  • Monitor server performance and identify needed corrective measures to remain in compliance with Army Regulations.
  • Analyze hardware and software reliability reports to identify problems.
  • Plan for future technical/ hardware/ software refreshes.
  • Plan, configure, and maintain hardware and software needed for a remote site in accordance with Contingency of Operation (COOP) requirements.
  • Provide support for HP Enterprise Servers, Windows 2008 and 2012 Server, HP Enterprise Virtual Array, Brocade fiber switches, HP Enterprise Data Protector backup software, and Tidal Software Horizon Sap integration.
  • Interface with Boundary Security Services (BSS) and similar entities at customer locations to resolve issues related to communications and network connectivity issues.
  • Provide expertise in Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) services, Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) and Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure sockets (HTTPS).
  • Interface with various Cyber Security groups to identify and mitigate IA findings.
  • Plan, support, migrate to, and maintain a secure and optimized VM environment.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or other related scientific or technical discipline is required
  • Minimum 7-10 years infrastructure experience  
  • Must have or be able to obtain NACLC clearance
  • Must have or be able to obtain CompTIA Security+ certification prior to start date
  • Must be a US Citizen

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and other government audits.
