CACI is looking for an experienced Training Specialist with effective technical course preparation and delivery skills to work on a DOD program. CACI supports the program across a broad range of systems and software technologies. The ideal candidate will have a technical understanding of Army Reserve software related to Mobilization, Safety and Occupational Health, and/or Force Management and Organizational Authority. In this role, the individual will be responsible for assessing, designing, and conceptualizing training scenarios, approaches, objectives, plans, tools, aids, curriculums, and other state of the art technologies related to training and behavioral studies. The position will have the person develop and revise training courses, and prepare training catalogs and course materials. They will also conduct the research necessary to develop and revise training courses, and prepare appropriate training catalogs for both technical and non-technical personnel. At a minimum, they will need to become knowledgeable with several software applications and then instruct personnel by conducting formal classroom courses, workshops, and seminars. Setting up mobile classrooms and providing multi-media services, including video and audio broadcasting is also part of the job funciton. This position is responsible for ensuring that all assigned work activities are performed in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining the highest quality of performance. Some regular administrative tasks are also required, such as maintaining accurate records of staff training, designing student surveys and generating reports, producing rosters for multiple classes. Excellent customer service is important as the Training Specialist will coordinate with multiple customers regarding meeting training needs.
Train personnel by conducting formal classroom courses, workshops, and seminars. Responsible for activities associated with delivery of customer-defined systems and software projects; basic responsibilities include:
Identifies, the best approach training requirements to include, but not limited to; hardware, software, simulations, course assessment and refreshment, assessment centers, oral examinations, interviews, computer assisted and adaptive testing, behavior-based assessment and performance and team and unit assessment and measurement.
Prepare all instructor materials (course outline, background material, and training aids).
Prepare all student materials (course manuals, workbooks, handouts, completion certificates, and course critique forms).
Maintaining relevant metrics that help the team see how they are doing.
Supporting long- and short-range planning.
Strengthening the presence of the team as an Agile centre of excellence. Actively contributing to the organization Agile Community.
Performing scheduled and allocated work.
Must be a U.S. Citizen, with an active DOD Secret security clearance, Interim is acceptable.
Background with U.S. Army Reserve or U.S. National Guard, preferably as a Reserve or Guard member, or as a member of the US Army
Excellent communication skills in English in written and spoken form
Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong communication skills and work ethic; self-starter
Professional Experience: 4+ years providing classroom instruction and other related experience
Willing to travel regularly, as the primary requirement for the position
Able to work effectively with the home office from remote locations
College degree (B.A.; B.S.) in a related discipline, experience accepted in lieu of degree
Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodology.
Basic understanding of elements related to the software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, CM, quality assurance, and release management.
Ability to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
Experience working on unusually complicated problems and providing solutions that are highly creative and ingenious, exhibiting ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness.
Periodically develops data which goes beyond existing boundaries of information in field.
Acts independently to expose and resolve problems.
