Job Description

CACI is seeking a Sr Software Test Engineer to provide cutting edge services and sustainment support for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. As a Test Engineer, you will analyze requirements and use cases, develop test procedures, and perform test and evaluation on existing or proposed information systems, data ingestion, entity extraction, natural language processing (NLP), search (Lucene), and Web applications through employing professional expertise as a generalist or specialist based in Herndon, VA.

What you'll get to do:

  • Develop resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of an understanding of Big Data technologies and ingenuity.
  • Work with the software development team to divide tasks based on specific specialty skills.
  • review requirements and user stories, design, and develop robust test capabilities, and identify data sets for use in testing.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI.
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar technical discipline.
  • 4+ years Test Engineering in a Big Data environment performing component, system, system of systems, end to end, functional, and nonfunctional testing.
  • Two years developing and managing testing for a Java Big Data Environment that will be using the following
  • SQL, XML, JSON, REST, JMS, Java/J2EE, Python, MapReduce, Accumolo/HBase, Hadoop, Spark, Storm, Solr or equivalent, Apache HTTP and Tomcat, Javascript, Zookeeper, ActiveMQ, Kafka, and RDBMS (Oracle or PostgreSQL).
  • Developing test procedures and test cases to meet dynamic specifications from requirements, use cases, user stories, and verbal description.
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM Development Methodology.
  • Knowledge of ETL, Data Ingest, Search.
  • Linux (RHEL, CentOS).
  • Ability to work with Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python, BASH.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have

  • M.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar technical discipline required.
  • Automated testing using open source test tools.
