POSITION SUMMARY:
As a senior consultant, provide senior level Oracle Applications DBA support to a large Operations and Maintenance application support and service organization supporting production and non-production environments for complex ERP systems including Oracle E-Business Suite, Prism, Sunflower, application bolt-ons such as Markview (Kofax), Web Services, and Oracle GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance). Responsible for day-to-day Oracle Applications DBA activities as well as support to special projects including new installs, patching, and upgrades. Be a senior member on a team of Oracle Applications DBA, supporting multiple applications and database environments, working on incident management, and supporting Software Configuration Management and scheduling tools (e.g. HP-PPM, UC4 Applications Manager).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide technical support in the area of technical database administration, specifically focusing on technology, strategy and operations for Oracle Applications (EBS), Compusearch PRISM, Sunflower Asset Management, Oracle GRC, HP-PPM, and application bolt-ons.
- Reports to Technical Infrastructure Lead including providing status report and attending weekly status meetings
- Support strategic projects with business partners and systems groups providing technical services on a wide range of database technologies running on UNIX Solaris and Windows platforms to ensure operational excellence.
- Plan and manage implementation and upgrade of applications and tools including patching of technology stack and databases.
- Create and maintain a performance/tuning strategy for keeping all environments at optimal performance, and maintain historical trending analysis.
- Work and support activities related to creation and cloning of application and database environments.
- Manage SLAs for DBA activities including working on incident tickets.
- Provide mentoring and knowledge sharing to DBA team.
- Identify, recommend and implement improvements to processes and procedures to increase team productivity, reduce cycle and improve quality delivery.
- Ensure appropriate documentation is created and maintained for projects and operational procedures.
- Create and maintain patching strategy for keeping all environments current with vendor patches.
- Maintains peer relationships across O&M areas to effectively support and execute O&M activities.
- Comply with and follow the program's software configuration management and change control process for all system level changes.
- Manage and maintain backup and recovery schedules and processes utilizing Oracle RMAN (Recovery Manager).
- Perform cloning of application and database instances utilizing Oracle’s Rapid Clone methodology, Oracle RMAN (Recovery Manager), and Oracle RAC.
- Manage and support Disaster Recovery environment and DR simulation testing
- Provide on-call support to production environments including some weekend support
- Participate and provide support to testing activities for projects and monthly maintenance
- Perform change management functions including code migration, and application and database system administration duties
- Manage password resets for server and database accounts.
- Work with Hosting Service provider for server, storage, network, and firewall requirements
- Created and maintain UNIX Shell scripts for automation of Oracle RMAN backup and recovery, and cloning of applications and database instances.

Duties and Responsibilities:

ITSM Continual Service Improvement SME: The ITSM Continual Service Improvement SME shall have at least 8 years supporting Department of Defense (DoD) IT programs, preferably National Security Systems (NSS). The ITSM Continual Service Improvement SME shall have credentials at the ITIL Intermediate level or the equivalent upon contract award, and must have achieved an ITIL Managing Across the Lifecycle or equivalent within 120 days of award. clear, equivalent experience and/or certifications. The ITSM Continual Service Improvement SME must also be certified as a PMP or as Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III in Program Management. The ITSM Continual Service Improvement SME must show experience in an industry standard ITSM improvement process, which should include experience in service measurement; service reporting; and, service improvement.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, responsible for providing second level telephone support to end-user community on hardware, software and network related problems, questions and/or issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes incoming telephone, voice mail, e-mail, and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies. Interviews user to collect information about problem and leads user through diagnostic procedures to determine source of error. Troubleshoots determine problems for operating systems, applications and remote access, email, and telephone and wireless issues. Responsible for network and email account provisioning and management, as well as, wireless mobility problems, issues or request. Defines and classifies level, priority and nature of problem, request and/or issue. If unable to diagnose problem and/or problem requires physical interaction with end user the technician escalates problem to the appropriate team. Responsible for opening, tracking and closing trouble tickets. Ensures problem ownership and promotes end-user satisfaction. Tracks activities of field engineers to who tickets were assigned. Must possess an advanced technical skill and knowledge in computer hardware and software as well as networking systems in use at customer sites. Requires experience and knowledge of installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of computers. Must have basic knowledge of help desk call tracking management systems. Requires strong communication and excellent customer service skills.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Typically requires associate's degree or equivalent and five to seven years of related experience.
- Serves as the initial point of contact, globally, for access to the Enterprise IT environment. Interacts with IT users to resolve technical issues; responds to queries and completes service requests that originate by phone, web-based portals, email or other methods. Reads, writes, and implements standard operating procedures and technical documentation.
- Two years working experience in Microsoft Office applications.
- This position requires candidates to currently hold a TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance. Due to the classified nature of the program we are unable to advertise the specific polygraph. Details will be discussed with qualified candidates.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
