Duties and Responsibilities:
Client facing position to perform software system implementation tasks to include:
- Facilitating customer business process sessions under direction of more experienced Business System Analyst personnel
- Analyzing business and user needs to produce high quality requirements documents and system design documents that convey an understanding of the client's business needs
- Tracking and documenting changes to functional and business specifications
- Producing comprehensive test plans and test scripts for system enhancements
- Executing system and regression testing to exercise software prior to delivery

Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Policy Analyst, you will advise Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Americas’ Security Affairs customer on current and emerging interagency and intergovernmental issues regarding the intersection of DoD equities with other Federal agencies, State and local officials, and private sector stakeholders. You would provide strategic and operational analysis and policy advice on wide range of areas, but especially the use of DoD assets to support domestic security and civil support activities. In a very high tempo environment you could expect to draft and review/edit white papers, interagency correspondence, briefing materials, policy guidance, and other documents as directed. This Policy Analyst will travel within CONUS up to 25% to participate in meetings, forums, conferences, etc. This work will be performed in government spaces in the Pentagon, the Mark Center in Alexandria, or other government facilities in the National Capitol Region.

In this role, and with an extremely rapid turn-rate, you could expect to:

Participate in senior level discussion forums on homeland defense domains and civil support operations

Conduct maritime defense/security research, strategy analysis, implementation analysis, operational planning, or related matters regarding maritime threats, security against threats, climate change and its effects on maritime activities in the littorals, in-land waterways, and the Arctic.

Maintain situational awareness of maritime daily operations of the U.S. Coast Guard and U. S. Navy and producing technical assessments for U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Navy strategies and plans that inform maritime defense and security activities.

Coordinate and staff draft policies for comment, address critical and substantive reviewer issues, brief senior leaders on critical issues and incorporate resolutions into final policy documents

Review and assess the impact of new or proposed policies and provide a recommended course of action to appropriate management officials

Maintain awareness of public policy issues, especially concerning authorities for DoD support to civil authorities and homeland defense activities in air and maritime domains.

May serve as an Action Officer on a variety of topics

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and twelve to fifteen years experience or pertinent advanced degree and two years experience

Completion of military staff college or war college

Strong understanding of Executive Branch interagency organization and DoD component organizations and missions

Experience in operations, force planning, or exercise design and execution at Service, Combatant Command, or Joint Staff level. Experience interacting with headquarters levels of both US Navy and US Coast Guard

Strong policy knowledge and background

AEs must also be able to communicate technical and non-technical information clearly, answer technical questions from customers, and be able provide efficient technical solutions to problems. AEs are responsible for writing technical documentation as directed by MicroPact standards and methodology.


Required Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 5 years of related software development experience

At least 2 years of J2EE development experience

Experience programming in SQL, Java, Java Script, iReport toolkit

Web Application and Relational Database (SQL Server, Oracle) Experience

Understanding of J2EE Architecture (JBoss, Apache, Tomcat, etc.) and deployment procedures

Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the movement, distribution and daily accountability of line item Communications Security (COMSEC) account. Conduct in-depth field audits of customer base, ensuring national and organizational COMSEC policy adherence. Establishes and administers oversight to 250+ COMSEC accounts on the east coast and Europe and to conduct inspections of all those locations. Provides national security guidance, training and technical support on an array of secure communication devices. Serve as liaison between Central Office of Records (COR), the customer and other personnel in the requirements process to ensure the timely delivery of materials needed to establish and maintain essential communication links. Monitor security clearances, background investigations and polygraphs of COMSEC briefed personnel to ensure appropriate levels are maintained by COMSEC cleared individuals. Performs complex government property administration and accounting duties requiring thorough knowledge and experience in government property administration practices.
