Selected candidate will report to the government IA Manager (IAM) who retains authority for the IA program.  Support/perform duties required of a Wing IA Manager (IAM) as documented in AFI 33-200 and AFI 33-210 in support of all USAF units in the National Capital Region (AFNCR--primarily the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews, and Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling).  The AFNCR (Wing) IA Office provides COMPUSEC, EMSEC, TMAP, Certification and Accreditation (C&A), and COMSEC functions on behalf of their users.  Selected candidate will lead efforts to support all the aforementioned functions except COMSEC (which is out of scope of this contract).  The selected candidate must possess excellent communications skills to deal with users and coordinate with another contractor team responsible for the network/system administration of the AFNCR enterprise.  Specific duties of the AFNCR IA Office include coordinating the execution of the USCYBERCOM IAVM process and running scans to validate completion of directed actions, providing training and guidance to unit Information Assurance Officers (IAOs), investigating and reporting on computer/network security incidents, and reviewing new projects/systems to address IA concerns/risks.  The AFNCR IA Office accomplishes the C&A process for the AFNCR enclaves to include yearly self-assessment of IA controls.  The AFNCR IA Office also provides support to shepherd new systems through the C&A process to ensure proper documentation of inherited IA controls.  Maintain a master schedule of all IA-related events such as yearly self-inspections (IAAP), combined unit inspections, DISA CCRI, and dates related to compliance with IAVAs from USCYBERCOM (issued as time compliance network orders (TCNOs) from 24AF via the I-NOSC).<br/><br/>Responsible for determining enterprise information security standards. Develops and implements information security standards and procedures upon government approval. Provides tactical information security advice and examining the ramifications of new technologies.
