Management reserves the right to review and revise this document at any time.<br/><b>POSITION SUMMARY:</b><br/>As an experienced professional, provides written and verbal decision quality research, analysis, reporting and recommendations in response to requests for review and comment on issues directly or indirectly related to logistics.<br/>Under indirect supervision, responsible for review/develop/modify/test procedures and systems requirements to manage property book requirements directly supporting DoD Enterprise infrastructure and infostructure IT goals and projects. Train internal and external customers regarding procedures/ processes and software applications. Conduct internal audits and development/ review of corrective action plans. Negotiate supplier agreements and service contracts as required by job. Have knowledge of capital procurement processes.  Perform duties and responsibilities as the lead on process improvement teams. Coordinate workflow and material movement to meet program and customer delivery requirements.<br/><br/><b>Duties and Responsibilities:</b><br/><br/>Provides management, customers, and subcontractors with basic logistics technology and information that ensures effective and economical support for products, service, equipment and systems.<br/>Determines support requirements including facilities, personnel, safety, supply, transportation, maintenance and services.<br/>Directs and coordinates program activities designed to ensure effective and efficient economic support.<br/>Analyzes and evaluates design concepts to determine if concepts satisfy support requirements.<br/>Anticipates logistics problems related to operational area and environmental and human factors.<br/>Determines contingency requirements and solutions.<br/>May design and conduct research or technical studies to support logistic functions.<br/>Provides creative leadership from knowledge of industry best practices and most current developments in logistics.<br/>Determines logistic support sequences and time phasing, problems arising from location of operational area, and other factors, such as environmental and human factors affecting personnel.<br/>Participates in planning and policy development issues.<br/>Provides regular reporting to senior management on logistics issues.<br/>Participates in the creation of procedures and communication material that document logistic practices.<br/>Provides advice and guidance to less experienced staff.<br/><br/><b><b>Required Qualifications:</b></b><br/><b>EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE</b>:<br/>Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and five to seven years of related experience.<br/><b>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</b><br/>Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face.
