Information Assurance Specialist/Advisor to support a major U.S. intelligence agency focused on Geospatial-Intelligence (NGA).

Develop security architectures, and engineering system specifications. Conduct strategic planning and recommend implementation strategies. Advise and assist government on security and privacy policy, trusted product assessment, enterprise security engineering, secure systems management, penetration and exploitation, insider threat analysis and protection, cyber situation awareness, attack sensing and warning, secure wireless networking and mobile computing, secure operating systems, secure workstations, secure data management, secure web technology, and secure protocols, authentication.


Required Qualifications:

Experience in performing three or more areas information security compliance, risk management, security engineering, system certification, IT operations security.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience within related field; 5-7 years experience.

Active TS/SCI clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

NGA Experience desired. Certification in an information assurance field desired.

Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide IA support for the 844th Communications Group supporting AF customers in the National Capital Region (AFNCR) primarily at the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews, and Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling. Provide support for the COMPUSEC, EMSEC, TMAP, and C&A programs as required by AF Instructions. Selected candidate will support one or more of the following functions:
- Vulnerability scanning with eEye Retina
- Documenting compliance with IA controls for AFNCR enclaves using eMASS
- Network/computer security incident investigation and reporting
- EMSEC inspections and inspections of protected distribution systems
- Coordinating appointment, training, and actions of unit Information Assurance Officers (IAOs)
- Tracking completion of plans of action and milestones to fix outstanding vulnerabilities
- Participate in yearly self-inspections of the IA program and of IA controls for the AFNCR enclaves.
- Support the DoD PKI program as a local registration authority and/or trusted agent

General expectations:

(b) Develops and implements IA/security stds and procedures.
(c) Coordinates, develops, and evaluates security pgms for an organization. Recommends IA/security solns to support customers’reqts.
(d) Identifies, reports, and resolves security violations.
(e) Establishes and satisfies IA and security reqts based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands.
(f) Supports customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies.
(g) Applies know-how to govt and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures.
(h) Performs analysis, design, and development of security features for system architectures.
(i) Analyzes and defines security requirements for computer systems which may include mainframes, workstations, and PCs.
(j) Designs, develops, engineers, and implements solns that meet security reqts.
(k) Provides integration and implementation of the computer system security soln.
(l) Analyzes general IA-related technical problems and provides basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems.
(m)Performs vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.
(n) Ensures that all info systems are functional and secure.


Required Qualifications:
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent and two to four years of related experience.
- Active Secret clearance
- DODI 8570.01M IAT level II certification (Security+, GSEC or SSCP)
- Two years of experience supporting DoD IA activities

CACI has an immediate opening for a Cyber Security Specialist (CSS) to join a cyber-security team on a project supporting the US Government. This position is located in Las Vegas, NV, with occasional travel to other project and client CONUS locations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Generate security plans
- Develop cyber security policies and procedures
- Review other policies and procedures for input to management
- Serve as Information System Security Officer for assigned computer systems
- Perform internal self assessments and programmatic inspections as directed
- Analyze security audit logs for anomalies
- Research cyber security trends and technologies
- Assist in the development of security lockdowns for operating systems
- Develop contingency plans
- Provide risk assessments of network and standalone operations
- Provide computer security support for an enterprise network environment
- Perform vulnerability assessments of new and existing systems utilizing industry standard tools including Nessus
- Have experience with Windows, LINUX, and Solaris system security

Required Qualifications:

The CSS position requires the ability to support a rapidly changing environment with short suspense deliverables and diverse work assignments in support of a U.S. Government Agency Cyber Security Group. The position requires familiarity with classified and unclassified computer security and applicable agency policies, NIST, and OMB guidance.

Also requires knowledge of agency policies, Executive Orders, FIPS Publications, OMB A-130, Public Laws, NIST SP800 series, and DCID requirements. Skills must be consistent with the ability to perform functions related to all aspects of computer security. Requires the ability to operate under limited supervision, communicate effectively with network engineers, take independent action, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions.

Candidates must have a professional demeanor, good people skills, the ability to excel in a multi-tasked and dynamic environment, prioritize tasks, and manage to schedule.

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience required. Direct experience may be substituted for degree requirement. CISSP or GSEC reqd.

High-level US Government clearance or eligibility for a high-level US Government clearance is required for this position. Active Top Secret or DOE Q clearance is desirable.

Candidates for this position will undergo a pre-employment background investigation, as well as a government background investigation and must meet the requirements for access to sensitive or classified government information.
