Duties and Responsibilities:

Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Provide full characterization of information system security compliance, including system connectivity, in terms of administrative, technical and organizational factors and develop risk management alternatives for securing environment requirements and problems.

Support activities for security compliance and risk management, including security authorization, certification and accreditation (C&A) of new systems introduced into the environment and, as required, re-certify legacy systems to verify security controls are in place and vulnerabilities are mitigated.

Author and update security authorization documentation following the System Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) methodology (e.g. security plan, security assessment report).

Support the update and tracking of associated security documentation in DHS FISMA reporting databases.

Has a working knowledge of MS Office Suite and can provide deliverables to support project deployment on an as-needed basis. A successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a project lead and providing briefs to government staff on ongoing activities. Must be capable of leading a Project including creating and project schedules and ensuring they are adhered to.


Required Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Management Information Systems or other related technical discipline. Four (4) years of related experience may be substituted for the degree. In addition, typically requires 5-7 years experience.

General Experience:
- 3+ years of security compliance and C&A experience with Federal Government and knowledge of Government security requirements and standards (e.g. FIPS, NIST SP 800 series, OMB 130, and FISMA)
- 3+ years of experience in Information Assurance, Security, and Governance
- 3+ years of experience writing, reviewing and understanding system security plans (SSP), network diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOP)s, and system design documents (SDD)

The Lead Systems Engineer will supervise a small team of mid and senior level system administrators to provide system administration support for a major Federal government contractor in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Lead Systems Engineer will support daily system operations and administration for the information technology infrastructure. Duties include management, installation and maintenance, standardization, testing and performance evaluation of enterprise services. Responsibilities include management of server and systems infrastructure, technical management of the server, storage, and virtualization infrastructures, performing system administration of network and applications servers, managing systems infrastructure requirements, performing systems operation functions including backups, implementation of system patches and upgrades, recommending improvement options for the enterprise IT infrastructure, and establishing standards, policies, configuration guidelines, and procedures. The Cyber Enterprise Architect will provide senior-level strategic planning and technical cybersecurity solutions for a major Federal contract supporting both classified and unclassified information systems. The Cyber Enterprise Architect is required to understand the business needs of the organization and provide secure technical solutions to meet those needs by interfacing with contract staff, government client managers and executives, and other contractors.
