Duties and Responsibilities:

Mechanical Engineering Systems Maintenance Analyst. (Full Time): Seeking a candidate with Navy, Military Sealift Command (MSC) or Coast Guard maintenance and engineering experience. The successful candidate should have significant and progressive shipboard maintenance experience with strong analytical skills. Tasks include development of electronic systems Maintenance Procedure Cards (MPC) in accordance with governing documentation. Other tasks associated with this position include: Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Level-II analysis for electronics systems, verification of vessel configuration and engineering changes, technical documentation for all maintenance configuration items, and collection of logistics information (manufacturer, make, model, part number, CAGE Code, NSN) for parts identified on MPCs and for enrolling components in a database. Additionally, preparation of briefs and presentation of data and analysis to management is required.

Incumbent will provide services to the U. S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) directly serving the Small Boat Product Line (SBPL) located in Baltimore, MD. Performs routine maintenance and logistics tasks such as Item Management, supply procurement and Repair Specification Writing services in support of hull, mechanical, and electrical equipment and systems aboard U. S. Coast Guard Small Boats. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, performing Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) Backfit analysis, researching and drafting maintenance procedures, developing and Maintenance Requirement Lists (MRL), and the verification of maintenance procedures drafted aboard Standard Boats. Tasks include verification of vessel configuration, engineering changes, and technical documentation for all maintenance configuration items, and collection of logistics information (manufacturer, make, model, part number, CAGE Code, NSN) for parts identified on accurate Technical Publications and Maintenance Procedure Cards (MPCs).

Incumbent normally works under the guidance of senior engineers, analysts, and managers. Provides management, customers and sub-contractors with logistics technology and information that ensures effective and economical support for products, service, equipment and systems. Analyzes contractual commitments, customer specifications and related information to identify and document configuration and support requirements. Reviews engineering designs and analyzes equipment characteristics. Utilizing numerous data management systems, verifies, researches and identifies supporting logistics documentation, cross referencing equipment nameplate data such as parts, manufacturer's ID and model numbers to support parts and allowance support for maintenance procedures on small boats and cutters. Incumbent shall have maintenance and development experience, a strong Team aptitude, and will provide guidance to other Team members who perform engineering systems validations on USCG standard boats and cutters. Travel may be required to enhance deliverables.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and two to four years of related experience.


Required Qualifications:
Shipboard maintenance experience aboard Navy ships, but preferably aboard CG Cutters.

Experience with Item Management, Supply and Repair Specification Writing services.

Experience working in a shipyard environment leading teams in the preventive and corrective maintenance and report of engineering, and electrical systems aboard ship.

The clearance level required is dependent on the type of clearance supported by our client.

Desired Qualifications:

RCM Level II Certification a plus.
